The driving ranges and practice areas...

The Long Range allows room for every shot you want to practice.

The Short Range has a bunker and several chipping and pitching areas and elevation changes that are similar to those played throughout the golf course.

The Practice Putting Green adjacent to the first tee, allows you to hit those last few putts before starting your round.

The Chipping Green at the rear of the Long Range, allows for chipping practice to a number of hole placements

No requirement on how to get around on the course

There are no rules requiring how a golfer can get around the course. Available are club-owned electric carts. Golfers also can carry their bag at any time or use their own push or electric walking carts. Arrangements can be made to have your own cart and pay a path fee; limitations do apply here.

Bag storage available to members

Available is a bag room for storage of your equipment. Clubs are cleaned after each use and can be safely stored in the bag room during the season. Full-service club repair is available such as re-gripping, re-shafting, and more.

Locker Rental

We have lockers available in both the men’s and women’s locker rooms for a low annual rental fee.

Walking Electric Cart Storage

Available for an annual fee is storage of your electric walking carts. Included is electric outlets to recharge your batteries.

A golf instruction program

One of the benefits of being a member of Valpo Country Club is the quality of the instruction program. Our Head PGA instructor, Mike Laughner, is available to help improve your game. Types of instruction include individual lessons, lesson series, playing lessons and group clinics. Our instructor work with every type of golfer from the true beginner to the advanced player.

Golf tournaments

Some of the benefits of membership at Valpo Country Club are the social and competitive opportunities available. There is great variety of tournaments for every golfer. We have scrambles, Ryder Cup type events, and an annual member/guest invitational in July. The club also participates as a host course for the Porter County Amateur Tournament in the fall. The golf schedule is carefully planned and scheduled, and there always is an upcoming event to be looking forward to.
